Healthy Eating
Foods naturally high in protein, fibre and nutrition like pumpkin seeds, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, tomatillos, pulses, citrus fruits, herbs, green vegetables and chiles, of all shapes and sizes, are known to boost your immune system and are the kind of food we should be eating as part of a healthy balanced diet. Also, the corn tortilla is naturally gluten free, which is great for people that have an intolerance to wheat - all these items and more are featured in this menu.
Some like it Hot - follow the spicy symbols
If you like it hot and spicy, you will see the chile symbols on the menu that denote how hot the dish is. You will see that the majority of dishes have no symbol at all. In Mexico hot sauces are added to the dish as a condiment, so if you want a little more spice, just ask and we will be happy to oblige.
There are many chile pod varieties (see the descriptions below), some are used for heat, but many others add richness, colour, fruitiness or aromatic notes to a given dish.
Here are some descriptions of Mexican Food
The Aztecs had built a great empire that ruled over 'Maseoamerica' until the Spaniards renamed it Mexico. Gifts from the Aztecs to the world's kitchens include Chocolate, Corn, Courgettes, Tomatoes, Turkey, Chiles, Beans and of course the flour and corn tortilla that is now one of the biggest selling bread products in the West.
